Chicago Bridal Boudoir In Westin River North

Published by admin on October 30th, 2012 - in Bridal Dresses, Bride

Since winter months are obviously slower with weddings, I decided to organize a bridal boudoir session. I have done done boudoir sessions before but this one for my first bridal ones. I know, it’s not a big difference but I wanted to make it look special. My very good friend Weronika who manages special events at the Sheraton hotels was super nice and got me a special deal on a suite in the Westin River North Hotel downtown Chicago. It’s a really nice hotel and the views from the suite of the Chicago River, Marina City, and all other downtown building were spectacular.

For this photo session we were fortunate to receive a beautiful French dress from Laurel Bridal. Laurel Bridal is a fantastic store in the west side of Chicago specializing in European wedding dresses that you won’t find in other wedding stores. I definitely recommend that store and Beata (the store owner and manager) will take special care of you:) The other wedding dresses and bridal jewelry we received from another super friendly bridal store Lake Geneva, WI – Germaine’s Fashion & Bridal.

We were very fortunate to work with two stunning sisters and beautiful models – Kathy Klimczuk & Natalie Klimczuk. They are such nice and smart girls and it was a true pleasure working with them. The make-up was provided by Chicago-famous Viki Moon and stylish hair was done Melina Lina Melki.

To be honest this was my first bridal boudoir session. I get extremely nervous before every session, wedding, or event and this time it was no different. My nervousness has a positive side as well; it makes me plan everything ahead, and decide on lighting, set up, posing, etc.  From this session I wanted to create a boudoir album and was shooting from the beginning having that in mind.

For those more interested in the photography aspect of those photos… I used a relatively easy light setup. One large octa with grid and one bare flash for fill. In those photos where you can a light stand lamp I removed the bulb and replaced with speedlight. This gave the effect of the lamp being actually on as a regular bulb is not powerful enough.

The bridal veil the world’s longest measuring 3 km

A bridal veil3 km long well here is what we will see the next September 22 at 10.30 in Casal di Principe (Caserta) worn by the young bride Elena? Its a real record a veil stitched by dozens of seamstresses Atelier Gianni Molaro, A designer from Naples, who has thus realized the dream of the future bride. A veil that will enter the Guinness unique with its length!

“Elena – says the designer Gianni Molaro – perfectly embodies the values of peace and hope for the future. Casal di Principe and a city full of good people, professionals and workers who live with the bad image that the media have recently given this industrious city. A reality made up of people who work and study as in the rest of the peninsula, and that very few, and because of the subject of an unfounded generalization. ”

Elena De Angelis is in fact a sweet bride that is about to realize his dream in life but had to fight a disease rare, Thalassemia Major, which forces her to repeated transfusions.

From very young, at school, he meets the love of his life Ferdinando Pucci: 199 finally arrive in the bone marrow that can improve his situation. Helen, however, must also deal with the death of his father and a very serious pneumonia caused by swine flu H1N1.

After much suffering, Elena decides that he is entitled to a little of peace and marry his love. He will do it in style with a veil made of tulle from 3000 meters, 6000 meters of white silk cord, 2 pounds of weight for a diameter of 2 meters in height and 3 meters long. Many greetings to this couple!

BRIDAL TIPS FOR A PICTURE-PERFECT FACE

Published by admin on January 7th, 2012 - in Bridal Make Up, Bride

It is really important to hire a professional to do your make-up on your wedding day, don’t skimp!  I have also attatched some links to the end of this post of make-up artists in our area who do a beautiful job!

1.  BLEND, BLEND, BLEND.  You can use your everyday makeup, but use more than you normally use every day.  Many makeup professionals use airbrush makeup , the method of choice for high-definition TV, because it’s lightweight, waterproof and gives flawless coverage.

2.  SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE.  Use less makeup for a day wedding and more for evenings.  You can get dramatic with eye makeup.

3.  DON’T SKIMP ON CONCEALER.  Use a moisturized concealer on the thin, sensitive skin under the eyes.  If your concealer isn’t moisturizeing, blend it with a skin cream.  For blemishes, first treat them with a natural or over-the-counter anti-inflammatory, then cover with concealer.

4.  DO A MAKEUP TRIAL RUN.  It’s the only sure-fire, stress-free way to make certain your makeup will look beautiful.

5.  NOT ALL MINERAL MAKEUP IS CREATED EQUAL.  Titanium dioxide, a chemicl used as sun block, can reflect flash, giving the bride a ghostly appearance.  In 2009 makeup artist Annie May launced a line of mineral makeup especially formulated for photography called Advanced Mineral Makeup.  May promises it won’t white-out the brude under a flash.

6.  USE WATERPROOF MAKEUP WITH STAYING POWER.  You don’t want to spend your reception in the bathroom reapplying your makeup.  Foundation, eyeliner and mascara all should be waterproof.  And in case you cry (and you probably will), have a tissue or handkerchief handy to gently blot your tears right at the eye.

7.  KEEP YOUR LIPS MOISTURIZED AND COLORED.  Dry lips look dreadful in photos.  Have somone carry your lipstick for you and touch up often.  Matte and gloss lipstick both photograph well, and be sure to use blended lip liner for enhanced definition.

8.  DON’T FORGET THE GROOM.  If the groom is red faced due to too much sun (or drinking), a little powder can help.  That goes for shiney heads, too.  And it’s a good idea to slip a tude of Chapstick in the groom’s pocket for his dry lips, as wll as a handkerchief to dab well-wishers’ makeup smudges off his suit.

9.  DON’T SPRINKLE ON GLITTER.  In photographs, it tends to look like little white spots, as if there’s something wrong with the camera.

10.  REMEMBER to apply foundation and powder to your neck, shoulders, and decolletage – you want your head to look like it belongs to your body!

Smooth Moves
A summer wedding can be a bride’s dream, except for the pesky little problem of what happens when humidity and a hairstyle mix. But don’t sweat it (literally). Philip Pelusi salons now offer a Keratin Smoothing Treatment, which can make hair weather-resistant, stunningly shiny, and lasts anywhere from three to five months. Keratin, a strong protein found naturally in skin, hair, and nails, works to recondition hair, leaving it stronger, more flexible, more manageable. The treatment is also said to help hair dry twice as fast with a blow dryer. “I can see this as a really great service for brides not wanting to fuss with their hair on their honeymoon,” says marketing director Sara Ruth. Beauty Boosts
Every bride has a set of pre-nuptial primping must-haves, and Posh Beauty Salon owner Lisa Campbell highlights a number of over-the-top options to add to that list, including 3D Eyelash Extensions, which can stay put for up to two months, and Dreamcatchers Hair Extensions by Paris Hilton. “They look so awesome and real!” says Martin. And, to ensure that the ring isn’t the only thing that stands out on the bride’s hand, Posh Salon carries a wide variety of über-trendy MINX nail adhesives, as well as OPI Axxium gel nail polish, which Martin says can last for two weeks. Want to smile with teeth as sparkling white as your wedding dress? Diana Brooks, Edgewood Dental Associates front office coordinator, suggests the Venus White Pro whitening system, which consists of a take-home gel and custom-created trays. The system, typically priced at $199, is discounted to $99 for brides and grooms-to-be. If the wedding is rapidly approaching, Zoom Whitening can also be done in-office and is completed in approximately an hour. Edgewood Dental Associates, 412.242.4022. www.luckydresses.com

Wedding Bridal Veil – Should you wear a Bridal Veil for your Wedding?

Veils were once a stalwart of any wedding, but they have recently something of a decline in favor with many brides. Last year saw the return of the wedding bridal veil as many high profile celebrity brides chose to wear one. But is a veil the right choice for you on your wedding day?

Traditionally a wedding bridal veil was a symbol of submissiveness by the bride and a promise to obey her new husband. Once the ceremony was complete the groom would lift the veil to see his new wife for the first time. This tradition may seem outdated by modern standards but wedding veils still remain as a part of any bride’s wedding ensemble.

Modern veils are made from sheer and soft fabrics such as tulle and nylon netting. They also come in a range of shapes, sizes and lengths to suit different styles and different designs of wedding dress. Brides will also find veils embellished with lace, pearls, diamonte and embroidery.

Whether or not to wear a bridal veil can present something of a dilemma to many brides. Those having a very traditional wedding may feel they are a necessary part of their wedding outfit, whilst others may feel they are too fussy and over the top for the style of wedding they want. If you do decide to have a veil here are a few tips to consider before choosing one:

Wedding Bridal Veil – Should you wear a Bridal Veil for your Wedding?

Wedding Bridal Veil – Should you wear a Bridal Veil for your Wedding?

The style and shape of your wedding dress – short veils look chic with short dresses and slim fitting gowns, whilst long cathedral veils look wonderful with full skirted gowns with long trains.
The style of your wedding hair
Your choice of headdress
The venue for your wedding ceremony – a long veil on a breezy beach maybe difficult to cope with.
When choosing a veil you will find you have a choice of colors, ranging from traditional white, ivory and cream, to champagne and vibrant colored veils to match colored dresses. Try to choose a color which is a close match to your wedding dress or the two will look awkward together. The embellishment of the veil should also coordinate with your dress, so if your dress has pearl embroidery then choose a veil with pearl details around the edge.

When you have chosen your wedding dress or even when you visit a bridal salon to try some one, ask if you can try on veils and headdresses too. This will help you to decide on whether or not a veil will suit you firstly, and if you feel it compliments your wedding outfit. Most bridal stores will carry a range of different styles of veil so you can try on different designs to see which suits you best, however you may want to think about how you want to style you hair before you make a firm decision.
